Real Estate investment of all kinds, in San Jose del Cabo, is undergoing a wave of popularity. San Jose has many quiet residential neighborhoods, with more new areas being developed than has been the norm in the past. Condo projects seem to be a main focus as land prices rise with the popularity of the city. Many foreigners already live in this charming area. Many more are discovering the charms of living in a climate that is unmatched in the world, on a daily basis.

The upscale gated communities are located just outside the city, most notably, the golf communities of Palmilla, Querencia and Cabo Real to the west, and the new, very ambitious, marina and golf community of Puerto Los Cabos that is just getting started to the east. These developments offer golf and/or ocean view homes with wide landscaped streets, and the prices reflect the status associated with owning in these exclusive areas. There are also a growing number of, not so exclusive, upper and middle class developments and neighborhoods which offer a comfortable lifestyle as well as a good value for the potential resident.

Real estate prices in most of the residential neighborhoods of San Jose del Cabo are still just a bit lower than those in many beach resort areas of México. Prices in the upscale resort areas, such as Palmilla and the new Puerto Los Cabos Marina development are right up there with any beach resort property in the rest of the world. As with most growth oriented cities, anywhere in the world, a carefully selected real estate investment will, most likely, appreciate with time.
